Once again a masterpiece Lori! Long before history became textbooks and mythology, it existed as family memory shared around tables and in drawing rooms. Your story beautifully captures the fleeting nature of those connections and the importance of preserving the fragments that remain.
This is fantastic Lori! This past Sunday my mother took us all to the movies to watch American Revolution- a film put on by Hillsdale College. It is only in select theaters for a few days. I hadn't realized how many years that war for freedom took, nor how difficult it was- starvation, freezing winters without proper clothing- the volunteer army, the list goes on.
There is a complete series of short films about the revolution and the story of our country on the Hillsdale College Website- which are also very good.
