Thanks, @David, I hemmed and hawed about using them - especially since I’d started the series with actual historic circus photos, but , as Ken Burns would say, representational images can be powerful storytellers in themselves so… 😉
FWIW, the documentary filmmaker at my house doesn't care for Ken Burns, and thinks that his constant bargain basement panning over still images is cheesy, and such cheap shortcuts used to get you trashed in critiques in film school.
Continuing to read about Blanche, loving her story. Madrid to Havana, ships stopping in New Orleans, a circus and two sets of twins. What an extraordinary life.
Delivering two sets of twins into the big tent family in Cuba is truly remarkable!
I like the use of black and white AI generated illustrations. It really helps especially when you don't have "real" photos or images to add.

I talked to Ken Burns one time. He didn't like my questions.
I had lunch with Walter Cronkite once and he wasn’t so keep on questions either LOL
Reporters sensitive to questions. LOL

Amazing that both sets of twins survived such a perilous start in life. Looking forward to catching up with part 3!
Love the use of AI generated images. It adds a touch to the story and helps bring imagery to life. Loving the story too!
Looking forward to the next installment!
I wonder how many twins used to get such unfortunate names. I had a great aunt and uncle who were twins named Albert and Albertine.
